TED KENNEDY'S AMERICA...:

2 More Women Die After Abortion Pills (GARDINER HARRIS, 7/20/05, NY Times)

Two more California women have died after taking abortion pills, and federal drug regulators say they suspect bacterial infections as the cause. As a result, the drug's label will be changed to warn women and doctors to watch out for signs of an unusual infection that is not always accompanied by fever, the Food and Drug Administration announced Tuesday.

...a place where women die after over-the-counter abortions.

If a few dozens of dead women are the price for killing a few million more babies, I'm sure the Left can live with it.

Regardless of one's opinion of abortion, RU-486 is powerful and dangerous stuff. Anything that forces the uterus to shed its lining is likely to be.

Given the FDA's reticence in approving new cancer drugs (as the WSJ has been addressing the past few months), how likely is it that lawsuits galore will be filed over RU-486? And can the FDA be dragged into them?
