Lockyer's taste in art (Daniel Weintraub, 7/19/05, Sacramento Bee)

I was bumped from my regular gig this morning on KTKZ in Sacramento because host Eric Hogue was fuming about this painting by Steven Pearcy that is hanging in the lobby of Atty. Gen. Bill Lockyer's Sacramento office.

Pearcy is the man whose home was the site of pro-war and anti-war protests earlier this year when he and his wife hung effigy art protesting the occupation of Iraq.

Democrats - Lefties - Progressives - Communists - Socialists - Islamofascists.

No difference, really.

Maybe I'll embarrass myself with this question, but can't Schwarzenegger fire him?

It's inappropriate for public officials to use their offices to display leftover hippy-dippy protest art. Will these people never grow up?

If tax payer funds were used to purchase this piece of art, the treasury of the state of California should be reimbursed and Atty. Gen. Bill Lockyer should be disciplined. I hope the governor puts the kibosh on this kind of blatant propagandizing in public buildings.

If Lockyer likes it so much, let him buy it and hang in his home. To use the vernacular of the region, gag me with a spoon.

I wonder what would have happened if he had chosen to display the Ten Commandments.

No, they won't ever grow up - their hair will recede and their bellies will sprawl over their belts, but the hippy children will remain the same, locked into the same social development stage of the average four year old.

If Lockyer was having any seconds thought about his decision not to challenge Arnold for governor in 2006, this pretty much ought to end those recriminations.

Another Democrat with his Freudian slip showing.

Why do gays have this fixation with toilets and feces? Oh, never mind.

What's worse is that it looks like it was done by a grade school kid who wasn't trying very hard.

He's elected.

This is the Attorney General of California who said he hoped Ken Lay would end up in a prison cell with "Bubba".
