THE NEXT ICE AGE (via The Mother Judd):

Murky month of May (Boston Globe, May 19, 2005)

SOME LIKE it cool, and they are loving this chilly, reluctant May. These people care not that dank winds and gloomy weekends have all but sneered at Julie Andrews happily calling the month ''lusty" in the musical ''Camelot." Perhaps they think lusty is still possible with the shoulders hunched under a rain poncho and the feet going numb at a Little League game.

Poncho? Sissies.

Rain? You're lucky to get rain. I'll be watching Little League games in 105 degree heat for the next two months.

I blame global warming for this unseasonably cool weather.

Living in Wisconsin, I've come to the conclusion that there is only two seasons, winter and summer. Those brief periods of the year that people refer to as spring and fall, are actually arguments between winter and summer. Lately, mean ugly winter is slapping little pretty summer all to hell.
