COALMINER'S SON:
Biden: Clinton Hard to Beat in 2008 Race (AP, 2/27/05)
"I think she'd be incredibly difficult to beat," the Delaware Democrat said Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press." "I think she is the most difficult obstacle for anyone being the nominee." [...]"She is likely to be the nominee," Biden said. [...]
Biden said he is thinking about running again, 20 years after his first failed bid for the White House because "there's a lot at stake."
There was an awkward moment when the Senator, asked if he was running, said: "I'm Joe Biden and I'm reporting for duty." Posted by Orrin Judd at February 27, 2005 10:24 AM
The great benefit of a Biden candidacy is that at least it would be tough for the Democrats to tout the intelligence of a candidate who was bottom of the class at a lousy law school. I, for one, am getting really tired of the Dems telling us how stupid we are.
Posted by: Bart at February 27, 2005 2:29 PMDidn't stop them when their candidate's entire postgraduate academic career consisted of flunking out of divinity school (Al Gore) so don't hold your breath.
Posted by: JK at February 27, 2005 4:34 PMOf course the real problem is with the Dems equating higher education with intellegence. All graduate school means these days is that you've got a higher tolerance for bureaucratic crap and groupthink dogma than should be acceptable.
