THE CODA IS OVER:

Conflicting reports on Arafat's health (CNN, 10/30/04)

There were conflicting reports Saturday about the medical condition of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat, who is being treated for illness in Paris.

Palestinian officials close to Arafat told CNN they have reached the conclusion that the era of Arafat as Palestinian leader is over.

Actually, George Bush ended it in June 2002.

John Bachelor on ABC 770 AM radio in NYC said Arafat has AIDS and the hospital where they took him in Paris is the same place they took Rock Hudson at the end of his life.

If the president isn't re-elected than all the effort of the past three plus years is for naught.

Arafat's homosexuality has been an open secret for decades. Oriana Fallaci described his German boyfriend in an article.

I'll probably do time in Purgatory for saying this, but I really hope that French hospitals aren't too good at pain management for terminal patients.
