W WANTS TO DO FOR AMERICA WHAT HE DID FOR TEXAS:

No Democrats have filed yet for state elections in 2004 (John Moritz, 12/31/03, DFW Star-Telegram)

The head of the Texas Democrats on Tuesday vowed that his party would field "scores" of candidates to challenge incumbent Republicans in the 2004 elections, but with filing for the March primaries ending Friday, no Democrat has stepped forward in any of the statewide races.

This is the party that thinks they should have the bulk of the Texas congressional delegation?

Maybe all their candidates are hiding in Oklahoma or New Mexico?

No, no -- it's the primaries they haven't filed for. Clearly it's wrong for the voters to decide on which candidates the Democratic Party will field.

I'm kinda surprised. I didn't think they were so hunted a breed.

The New Jersey Supreme Court having established that the voters have a Constitutional right to a strong Democratic candidate, the party can always select candidates for the ballot in October 2004. There's no need for these long drawn-out primary procedures.

They'll run candidates labeled "generic." Couldn't do any worse than other names.

Well, "unnamed Democrat" is doing better in the Presidential polls than any other Democrat.
