THE QUEEREST THING...:

A Tough But Fair Ad From McCain, Hitting Obama on Education (Jim Geraghty, 9/09/08, NRO: Campaign Spot)

Team Obama argues that the comprehensive sex education bill was common sense and designed to protect kids from predators. Notice they voice no objection to the ad's points on "no significant mark on education," "elusive on accountability," "staunch defender of existing monopoly," etc.

On the sex ed bill, it's possible that Obama had the best of intentions, but the bill text did include, "Each class or course in comprehensive sex education offered in any of grades K through 12 shall include instruction on the prevention of sexually transmitted infections, including the prevention, transmission and spread of HIV." Do kids really need to know about STDs starting at age 5?

...is that Alan Keyes apparently used this issue against Mr. Obama and his campaign still wasn't ready to answer it.
