BUT I CAN'T BE RACIST, I'M A RACE::

Jeremiah Wright And The Irony Of Black Racism (Ira Heller, March 26, 2008, The Jewish Press)

The irony doesn’t get any better than this.

Barack Obama is supported by multitudes of Americans so eager to demonstrate their “liberal” benevolence that they gave him their votes on faith, before they had any substantial knowledge of who the man really is. Enter into the picture the images of Obama’s beloved minister of 20 years, Jeremiah Wright, spewing his hateful venom to his delirious mass of followers.

The consummate racist, Wright last year accused America of being too bigoted to elect a black president. And now that a substantial segment of the American electorate has proved him wrong, the person who will bear most of the blame if Obama’s campaign goes into a tailspin is Pastor Wright himself! [...]

If this scenario were a Hollywood script highlighting the hypocrisy and self-destructiveness of black racism, it couldn’t have been written any better.

Democrats ought not be angry at Ms Clinton for taking on Senator Obama now. They should be furious she gave him a free ride for a year.

Why is it that pundits always seem to forget that in matters of faith, the whackier the faith, the more believing in it affirms the strength of the believer? And the more the belief must be true. This is, of course, true especially when facts, or laws of nature, might appear to get in the way of such beliefs.

"But how can you even believe that? It makes no sense! It's against nature! Can you even see God?!! How do you know?"

"Because [you poor, faithless, unbelieving worm] my faith is strong and unwavering. I know that God exists!! God is everywhere...."

Obama Barack is, essentially, a faith system.

Therefore, who cares if he's full of contradictions, or if his church spews hatred, or if he's a multi-millionaire whose wife warns against the hazards of "middle-classness" (though she has a point, actually, since, having taken her own advice, she, as well as her able pastor have left "middle-classness" far, far behind---Thanks Tony!!).

Or if he has almost zero legislative experience?

It's precisely because of this that we believe in him, yearn for him, gaze at his photograph, drink up his words. And vote for him.

(Of course, there's always Psalms 146:3....
but who needs the Psalmist when you have Wright on your side?)
